Hun Sen to attend APEC CEO summit in China
PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Prime Minister Hun Sen will attend the Dialogue on Strengthening Connectivity Partnership and the APEC CEO summit in China.
The summit will be held on 7-9 November in Beijing.
The high delegation to accompany the premier will include Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, Senior Minister and Commerce Minister Sun Chanthol, and Tram Ivtek, Transport Minister, and other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia, according to a statement issued recently by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
"The Dialogue on Strengthening Connectivity Partnership will discuss the opportunities and challenges for closer cooperation on regional connectivity as well as seeking ways and means to together advance cooperation on the "Silk Road economic belt" and the "21st century maritime Silk Road" initiatives", said the statement.
"The APEC CEO Summit will exchange views on the key topic such as Regional Economic Integration, Innovation Development, and Connectivity with theme: "the New Vision for Asia-Pacific: Creativity, Connectivity, Integration and Prosperity."
Besides Hun Sen will hold bilateral talk with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Li Yuanchao, vice president of China, and receive Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Ministers of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Community Party of China.
